As your personal wine guide Maria makes you discover Bordeaux, the wine estates and their marvellous wines.
With a solid network in the wine business she organises personalised visits both to the world-famous Grand Crus estates and other less famous ones – but oh so amazing and priceworthy. We enter the gates to their wine cellars and vineyards where we enjoy various wine tastings. We get an insight into their business, wine making and learn about everything from the grape to the wineglass.

Wine expert
Maria Wine and Words offers exclusive wine tour at an expert level that gives you a solid knowledge of Bordeaux wines. Maria takes you to private visits to world famous wine estates. At the wine estates we walk around the vineyards to get an insight into viticulture and in the wine cellar we learn about the estates specific wine-making procedure and the barrel ageing. We arrange wine tasting of various interesting vintages, commented by Maria and the estate’s wine experts.
Maria also offers Master classes with famous wine experts who, using a unique wine tasting method, give you a solid knowledge of Bordeaux wine.
We enjoy our lunches and dinners in top-class restaurants where French food and wine come together at their best.
Wine and Food
Bordeaux is not only famous for its wine but it also has a fantastic gastronomy. This tour suggests to pair food and wine. We will of course visit different wine estates, its vineyards and wine cellars. During the tastings we pair their wines with chocolate, cheese, spices and other things that will boost your taste buds.
Maria organises workshops where you assemble your own wine, learn how to cook the region's food and desserts. We visit of oyster farms where we taste fresh oyster with white wine.
Maria could also organise guided tours of Bordeaux with its food markets and special wine shops.
For our lunches and dinners, we eat local delights along with specially selected wines.
We learn how to pair and make the best of Bordeaux food and wine.

Slowly but surely Bordeaux wine growing takes a more natural and organic direction. Finally!
Here we focus on visiting wine estates with a philosophy of being closer to nature. With Maria you discover the differences between organic and biodynamic viticulture and winemaking, both are used by Grand Crus estates and family chateaux. In the vineyards you can observe the herbal preparations used to naturally protect the vines from diseases, or listen to music that helps the vines grow thanks to genodics.

Bordeaux has become one of Europe's most popular destinations. Bordeaux was considered the world's trendiest destination in 2017 by the travel agency 'Lonely Planet'. The city has undergone enormous refurbishment and the new meets the old in a very beautiful harmony.
Discover Bordeaux, its amazing medieval architecture, 17th century Versailles style, 19th century boulevards to modern Bordeaux. Stroll along the river, visit different markets, walk around the shopping streets offering modern design and classic French luxury brands.
Then change the city environment to Châteaux and vineyards! MariaWe organises visits according to your wishes; from famous Grand Crus Chateaux to small family vineyards. It is your own interests that determine what you will see.
